Howdy! I recently had the opportunity to tour Hyatt Zilara Cancun and want to share it all with you! Be sure and click on each heading to check out my Instagram videos and contact your Chief Travel Guru with any questions. You guys are going to love this property!
Follow me into the grand marble open-air lobby of the all-inclusive adults only Hyatt Zilara Cancun and look up at amazement at the stained-glass ceiling – and featuring easy access to the Hotel Zone with views of the lagoon in the front and the ocean in the back.
We then get a glimpse of the buffet dining option – Spice – which boasts of international cuisine in a casual atmosphere. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Bonus – they have a make your own pasta station! Yum!
On to check out the rooms – here we tour a Jr. Suite King Ocean Front. This stunning room has a spacious bathroom and a jacuzzi tub in the living area that looks out over the balcony to the ocean. FYI – should you choose a lagoon view room – it will offer you amazing sunset views.
Accommodations, Fitness and Spa
If you do a Jr. Suite Ocean Front you may also have views of the pool area and if you are on ground level it may be a swim up room. If you have either of these luxury rooms – you also get use of a cabana on the beach for free. Should you book a non-luxury category – you would still have access to cabanas, but you would have to pay for them.
Connecting rooms are available – on request and subject to availability. And room service – this is unique – you have a “magic box” with a door and a light. When the light is illuminated it means your food has arrived. And once you are done you can put your dirty dishes back in the box, so you don’t have to see them.
They also have a large fitness center with plenty of windows and ocean views while you are working out. In addition – they have a huge spa on site that features an oceanfront gazebo for outdoor treatments. Another cool thing available at the spa is the opportunity for you to create your own oils and creams based on what your body needs, jar it up and take it with you for use during your stay – for an additional charge.
In this spot I give you more spa views – which includes a sun deck and a Zen Water Journey experience. Then onto an up-close view of the swim out rooms that have cabanas right in front of them for your relaxation. You can also see how large the main pool is here and how it looks out over the ocean. Stunning!
We pan by Pelicanos – a gourmet Caribbean fare dining experience and then to the uber important pool bar. The pool does have a quiet section for those of you who prefer quiet over activity.
Moving along we visit Casa del Café – for flavorful coffee as well as ice cream, decadent deserts and yummy baked goods. Chef’s Plate is our next stop – which is a fabulous five-course gourmet experience with a new menu every day and wines selected to compliment the meal. This is for guests staying in premium suite categories only – another reason to upgrade! And finally, to La Adelita Cantina – featuring Caribbean seafood as well as Mexican cuisine and cocktails made from local tequila and mezcal.
For those of you that enjoy Asian fare there’s Asiana Restaurant – that will delight with a Teppanyaki cooking show and sunset views. And don’t worry – there are plenty of bar areas – like Time Out where you can shoot pool and grab some drinks and appetizers 24 hours a day.
