Your Workcation Awaits!

workcation

Howdy! Workcations are becoming more and more popular. Wondering what a workcation is? Think back to the term staycation-a vacation you take right in your hometown. You book your hotel and adventure in your own city!

With many companies continuing remote work, employees are realizing they can travel and work-as long as they have Wi-Fi. Many hotels are even offering up space for employees to set up and work! Today we are going to look at some of the most popular U.S. workcation destinations.

Seattle, Washington

If you never been to Seattle, you are truly missing out. Seattle is one of those cities that you can walk around for hours. After work, venture down to the Pike Place Market and take part in their unloading fresh fish. For those not looking to get their hands dirty, watching is just as enjoyable. You will also find restaurants and bars aplenty at the Market as well as gorgeous ocean views.

Why not visit Mount Rainier National Park on the weekend? Or Olympic National Park? In your rental car we are only talking about a 3 hour drive!

Phoenix, Arizona

Most people don’t think of Phoenix as a place to vacation, but I am here to tell you they are wrong. Phoenix is an incredible destination for any travel adventurer or those looking for a spa destination.

For the most relaxing workcation, check out the Royal Palm Resort and Spa. Book your luxurious Mediterranean spa and later enjoy yoga or tai chi class. You will also find private work areas for you to set up. At the Hyatt Regency in Scottsdale you can book your “Work from Hyatt” package.

Any adventurer is a few hours away from several parks and preserves. On the weekend, head out to Williams, Arizona where you will find the Grand Canyon Railway. There is nothing like a train ride into the Grand Canyon. And for some of the best homemade pie ever, stop at the Pine Country Restaurant. You’ll find endless pie options and delicious home cooking.

Honolulu, Hawaii

If you are looking for a more tropical workcation, look no further than Honolulu. Hotel and work accommodations right on the beach! What more could you ask for? Visit Pearl Harbor National Memorial, enjoy a luau, or hike around Moana Falls. You can even take a guided helicopter tour! Over the weekend, you can island hop and visit all the Hawaiian Islands have to offer. The adventure is endless in Honolulu!

New Orleans, Louisiana

New Orleans is more than just Mardi Gras. it is a city is crawling with culture, incredible food, and more things to see and do than you could possibly fit into a quick stay. In the French Quarter, the heart of New Orleans, you will find long-stay hotel options that include a full kitchen and living area.

After work, take a swamp tour-you might even get to hold a baby alligator. Or simply sit back and watch the alligators pop up for some tasty marshmallows. At night take a ghost tour and learn about all of the scary stories New Orleans has to offer. You can even gamble at Harrah’s!
