#WorldFoodTravelDay

Howdy! Did you know that every year April 18th is designated as World Food Travel Day? Well, it is and as a food-loving traveler – as well as your Chief Travel Guru – I had to make sure y’all were aware!

What is World Food Travel Day? It is a day that was started by the World Food Travel Association – which I am a proud member of – in 2019 to celebrate traveling the world to experience its unique culinary cultures. And I am a huge supporter of culture immersion through gastronomy – in fact, it is one of the four pillars that my company is based upon. I strongly feel that we all need to eat and having local food experiences is the fastest way to local cultural immersion. Plus, when we break bread with someone we think is different, we realize how similar they really are.

You can participate in World Food Travel Day by posting a picture of your local fare and tagging it #WorldFoodTravelDay. And if you’re a fan of food tourism and are itching to get back out there and try new cuisines be sure to contact your Travel Gurus for suggestions on where to go and let us create the perfect foodie adventure and itinerary for you!
