Virgin Voyages

Howdy! Wave Season is officially upon on. Over the next few days, we will be highlighting various cruise lines and sharing what you can expect with each one. Sit back and imagine your next cruise vacation aboard Virgin Voyages.

October 6, 2021, Virgin Voyages set sail on their maiden voyage. Her first ship, Scarlet Lady, features 4 to 5 -night Caribbean itineraries. Virgin has created a new travel lifestyle brand, allowing an adults only experience.

Virgin Voyages five-star experience comes without compromise, leading with health and well-being at the forefront. On top of requiring full vaccinations for both Sailors and Crew, all guests will be tested for COVID-19 prior to boarding, a cost covered by the brand. The goal is to ensure the safest possible travel experience, which includes implementing best practices around sanitization, physical distancing, limited occupancy and following local government guidelines in each destination Virgin Voyages sail.

The Scarlet Lady has 1,330 cabins and 78 RockStar Quarters. An impressive 93% of cabins have an ocean view and 86% have a balcony. The gorgeous design of this ship features rainfall showers and ambient mood lighting and smart controls that automatically adjust with the ships geo-navigation system.

Virgin Voyages prioritizes well-being, relaxation and rejuvenation. Fitness enthusiasts can enjoy a variety of ways to get their workout in while on vacation. You can take advantage of sun-rise yoga, boxing, HIIT as well as specifically curated hikes at ports. Group workouts and fitness classes are automatically included! After your workout why not take advantage of the juice bars or have it delivered straight to you.

At the Redemption Spa enjoy a hot stone massage, the mudroom, sauna, and even a seaweed wrap. Relaxation onboard is whatever you want it to be. You can also take advantage of the Dry Dock blowout bar as well as the salon for the ultimate manicure.

Delicious food is nothing new for any cruise. Virgin Voyages is no different, featuring more than 20 distinctive and delicious restaurants. One thing you will not find onboard is a buffet or large dining halls.

Enjoy steak and seafood at The Wake and it’s old steakhouse design featuring a grand staircase. It is the perfect mix of sophistication and nostalgia. The Pink Agave treats you to an immersive odyssey of Mexican cuisine with a curated dining and drinking experience.

And for those looking for other worldly options you can enjoy ramen and poke bowls, Korean BBQ and Mediterranean, Italian and American.

Off the Beaten Path

Virgin Voyages travels throughout the Caribbean as well as Europe. While some typical ports are included on your itinerary, such as Cozumel, Nassau, Barcelona and Corfu, you can also find unique ports like Funchal, Olbia, Bimini and Guadeloupe. Enjoy a late night stay at their very own Beach Club in Bimini. Immersive yourself in the rich history and culture of the Mediterranean.

Travel as a Living Classroom

Travel in itself is always educational but Virgin Voyages “Shore Things” includes the opportunity to immerse yourself even further. In Ajaccio,  you can take a Napoleon Invasion Tour. You’ll get schooled by the locals with the Funchal Facts and Madeira-al Objects tour. Eat, Drink and Dance: A Dominican Fiesta allows you to enjoy sightseeing and dancing as well as a fiesta and cooking tour!

Virgin Voyages has something for everyone. You can be as relaxed and pampered as you want. And the adventurer will have the perfect opportunity to visit and learn about new cultures.
