Howdy! After recently reading an article detailing a major US airline’s Conditions of Carriage, we thought there is no better time than to remind our valued clients that exactly what each airline will and will not cover may not always be what you would think.
For instance – some airlines state that they will try to get you on another flight should yours be cancelled – but often times it is only on flights they operate – meaning there is a good chance you aren’t getting rebooked on a flight that same day. Or if you are stranded overnight due to the fault of the airline – you may only get hotel reimbursement with a letter from the airline – meaning you better wait in line to get that letter because if you choose to just go and get a hotel and then ask for reimbursement it may not happen.
So how do you make sure you are covered for what is rightly yours? ALWAYS OPT FOR TRIP PROTECTION. Trip protection will cover many of the things that you think the airlines would or should cover – but don’t. Your Travel Gurus will always highly recommend trip protection – now more than ever – and our preferred carrier is Travel Insured International.
And remember – when purchasing airline tickets on your own – always read the terms and conditions you are agreeing to before you check the box that says you agree!
As always, if you have any questions regarding upcoming flights that Book Here, Give Here, has booked for you please reach out to your Travel Gurus.
Namaste!
