#PurpleUpDay

#PurpleUpDay

Guess what? It’s #PurpleUpDay! That’s right – your Chief Travel Gurus favorite color in the whole world is tied to this wonderful day that was designated to recognize children of military parents. Here’s a little background…

April is actually designated as the month of the military child which is how Purple Up! Day came to be in the middle of this month. Purple Up Day was started to bring recognition to some of the military’s most unsung heroes – their children. Many don’t realize some of the unique challenges kids in military families face. Their circumstances change often and sometimes quite quickly. Sometimes it’s not just one parent but both that are called to active duty resulting in separation for unknown amounts of time.

April 15th was designated #PurpleUp day to encourage everyone to wear purple on this day, as purple represents all branches of the military. When we wear purple in their honor, we let military children know we support them in unity and in all branches of the military.

So, grab something purple to add to your wardrobe and show your support for those whose parents are keeping our beloved country safe.

Namaste

And you know you really can’t have a more intimate connection with someone than letting them know your essence and it’s something that is really intangible.
