Your Travel Gurus
Favorite place to travel:
Mexico & the Caribbean
Why? I love the level of relaxation... The tranquil waters, the beautiful people, history & language of each culture, so diverse yet so similar. The rest of world is so stressed in comparison, I go there to have a parenthesis in my life. So in the words of the Westin brand - I rejuvenate in my paradise.
What makes me a guru? I have 22+ years in hospitality. My goal is to give you the experience you are looking for though my knowledge and contacts. Booking your trip is easy, creating your experience is my passion.

Favorite places to travel: This is very hard for me to choose because honestly I love everyplace I have been. First I will have to say St. Martin - the first time I was there was for my honeymoon. We had such a great time. The people are so friendly, the food was delicious and we were never bored! Second would have to be Italy since it is the most beautiful place I have ever been and as I always say; if I spoke Italian fluently I would live there! Lastly I say Ireland - I love the place, I love the people, I love listening to them speak and I definitely didn't spend enough time there when I went so I am definitely going again...and again... :)
What makes me a guru? It is hard for me to consider myself a guru because I feel like I learn more and more everyday. Because I don't live in my home town I LOVE social media and being able to stay connected even from a distance. I love having access to information too and am constantly reading and researching. And when it comes to travel I LOVE a good deal so whenever I can find something great for our clients I am excited to have a platform to share that with everyone.
Favorite place to travel?
I can’t possibly limit this to one small location, so I’ll limit it to an entire continent! I love Europe for the vast diversity of cultures, climates and adventures. From the energy of London, to the beauty and warmth of the Canary Islands, to the carefree spirit of Munich’s Octoberfest, Europe has a time and place for everything.
What makes me a Guru?
I’ve worked in all facets of the travel industry including hotel management, online travel and wholesale, which provides a rich understanding of how to enhance and maximize the travel experience. I also have a strong appreciation for wellness and its many benefits for overall living. To combine these into one application resulted in the creation of aboutthejourney.com, where personal and corporate wellness retreats, workshops and experiences are the focus.
