Northern Lights – Part Two: NORWAY

Norway Aurora

When on the quest to see the Northern Lights, and check another item off the bucket list, we

would be remiss if the gorgeous country of Norway doesn’t make its way into conversation.

Famously known as one of the Viking homelands, this beautiful country stands as a testament

to natural arctic beauty and is often the site of many people’s first experience with the Earth’s

natural festival of lights. With so much natural beauty and renown around the planet, there is

definitely something all of us would enjoy!

One of the first things that comes to mind when thinking about Norway is the raw natural beauty

to be found just about anywhere you look. So to begin our journey we will start with the 3rd

northernmost towns on the planet, Svalbard! Located at 78 degrees North of the equator, and

only 1300km from the North Pole, the nearly non-existent light pollution found around the town, is a photographer’s paradise. With how far North the town is located, it offers one of the best opportunities to actually see the lights. So sightseer’s, don’t forget your skis, and photographers, grab your lenses, because this is a natural snowscape to write home about.

If city-life is more your style, then we can look no further than Trondheim, Norway. Whether we want to be pampered at a 5-star establishment like the elegant Britannia Hotel, or party at one of the numerous music festivals held throughout the year, this city offers it all. Whether you prefer to wait for nightfall at the spa, or by biking with the family through the gorgeous cityscape, there is plenty of opportunity to pass the time as we anxiously await the lightshow of a lifetime.

If you’ve wanted to see the Northern Lights and just weren’t too sure where to begin then please look no further. We at Book Here Give Here specialize in world-wide experiences, and Norway is but one country within the Auroral Oval. So if your goal is to see the Northern Lights, then reach out and let us help you plan your next Arctic adventure!

Hawaii

Hawaiian Islands Overview

Did you know that Aloha doesn’t mean hello? Although it is often used as a greeting, it really is so much more than that. As Robin explained it’s actually a value system that’s woven into the fabric of the Hawaiian people with a deep meaning. The term Aloha actually means “the breath of life” in Hawaiian so it’s literally giving and receiving the breath of life. And you know you really can’t have a more intimate connection with someone than letting them know your essence and it’s something that is really intangible.
