It’s #WhatsNewWednesday!

Howdy! It’s #WhatsNewWednesday and today we are bringing you the latest news on our neighbor to the north – Canada. Now as you may or may not be aware – Canadian borders are still closed to U.S. citizens due to the COVID 19 pandemic. However, it was just announced that Canada is going to allow fully vaccinated Americans to enter the country as of August 9th.

Here are the details according to a press release on Monday, July 19th that was sent out by the Public Health Agency of Canada:

Starting August 9, 2021, Canada plans to begin allowing entry to American citizens and permanent residents, who are currently residing in the United States, and have been fully vaccinated at least 14 days prior to entering Canada for non-essential travel. This preliminary step allows for the Government of Canada to fully operationalize the adjusted border measures ahead of September 7, 2021, and recognizes the many close ties between Canadians and Americans.
