Howdy! Happy Sunday Funday! Today, we are sharing some of the absolute best recipes that include champagne! We aren’t talking about mimosas, but champagne cocktails. Don’t get me wrong, mimosas are great, but there are so many other recipes out there that will really elevate your champagne game.

Champagne was been around since the 17th century. It’s discovery is widely credited to a monk and cellar master, Dom Perignon, after he perfected the process to remove the cloudiness from sparkling wine. Ever since it is staple for brunch and every celebration!

These are 7 of the very best champagne cocktails!

Champagne Cocktail

THE champagne cocktail is the original and it the perfect twist on the original. 


  • 1 sugar cube
  • 2-3 dashes of Angostura bitters
  • brut champagne


Place a sugar cube in a chilled champagne flute. Add 2-3 dashes of bitters. Fill the glass with brut champagne. Garnish with a squeeze of a lemon twist.

Whiskey Spritz

This spritz takes heady flavors and combines them with whiskey to create the perfect light whiskey cocktail.


  • 1 1/2 oz. Suntory Whisky Toki
  • 1 1/2 tsp. apricot brandy
  • 1 3/4 oz. Tempus Fugit Kina L’Aero D’Or Apertif
  • 1 1/2 oz. sparkling wine
  • 1 1/2 oz. club soda


Combine whisky and aperitif in a large wine glass. Add 2 large ice cubes and stir. Put in the apricot brandy and a few more ice cubes, almost to the top. Then fill with sparkling wine and club soda and stir again. Garnish with a rolled grapefruit peel and a strawberry!

Aperol Spritz

The perfect summer drink that you can enjoy year-round!


  • 2 oz. Aperol
  • 3 oz. prosecco
  • 2 oz. club soda (or a splash to top it off)
  • orange slices


Add Aperol, prosecco and club soda in a wine glass over ice.  Garnish with fresh orange slices.

French 75

A very potent champagne cocktail that includes gin as well.


  • 2 oz. London Dry gin
  • 1 tsp. superfine sugar
  • 1/2 oz. lemon juice
  • 5 oz. brut champagne


Shake gin, lemon juice and sugar with a few ice cubes. Strain into a glass and top off with champagne.

It’s reputation precedes it.


  • 1 1/2 oz. absinthe
  • 4 oz. brut champagne


Pour absinthe a champagne flute. Add brute champagne until it clouds up.

Apple Cider Mimosa

The perfect fall drink for day drinking or a haunted hay ride.


  • 4 oz. brut champagne
  • 2 oz. all-natural apple cider
  • 1 oz. cinnamon whiskey
  • 1 slice of apple for garnish


Mix cider and cinnamon whiskey in a champagne flute. Top with champagne flute and stir lightly. Garnish with an apple slice.

Black Velvet

It’s like a coke float, but for adults!


  • Guinness stout
  • brut champagne


Fill a Collins glass half-way with Guinness. Top slowly with champagne. Stir gently.
