Howdy! It’s #TravelNewsTuesday and today we are bringing you updated news regarding entry requirements to the Dominican Republic. It was announced on Go Dominican Republic – the official website of DR Tourism – that effective May 15th travelers no longer need to provide a negative PCR or COVID-19 test upon arrival.
It went on to state that the reason for the change was to align with the launch of the country’s Responsible Tourism Recovery Plan and although the negative COVID-19 test requirement has been waived, in its place airports and other ports of entry will “perform a quick, aleatory breath test to between 3% and 15% of passengers, and all those who present symptoms, upon arrival.” All passengers are also required to perform a temperature check.
