BHGH Travel Update: Antigua and Barbuda to Require Proof of Vaccination for Travel

Howdy! Today we switch gears and bring you the latest update on travel to the Caribbean islands of Antigua and Barbuda who will require visitors to be vaccinated as of October 1st.

Here is the update according to the Caribbean Journal:

Antigua and Barbuda is updating its travel protocols beginning October 1st, Caribbean Journal has learned. Most notably, all arriving passengers are required to have received at least one dose of a World Health Organization-approved vaccine in order to enter the country. That does not apply to children below the age of 18, however. All travelers will need to show proof of a negative PCR test taken and received within four days of their flight to Antigua. Children below the age of five do not require a test, however. Fully vaccinated visitors (meaning those for whom at least two weeks have passed since their final vaccine dose) will be allowed to stay at the country “bio safe/certified accommodations. “Partially vaccinated visitors (those who have received only one dose of a two-dose vaccine) will be allowed to stay only at COVID-19 certified accommodation and lodging.

As Robin explained it’s actually a value system that’s woven into the fabric of the Hawaiian people with a deep meaning. The term Aloha actually means “the breath of life” in Hawaiian so it’s literally giving and receiving the breath of life. And you know you really can’t have a more intimate connection with someone than letting them know your essence and it’s something that is really intangible.
