Howdy! BHGH just learned of updated COVID-19 protocols in Germany, and we wanted to make sure you were aware of them.
According to the Germany Missions website the following went into effect August 1st:
Effective as of Sunday, August 1, 2021, 00:00 hrs. (CET), there will be a universal obligation to carry COVID documentation when entering Germany. Persons 12 years and older must have proof of a negative test result, proof of recovery from COVID-19, or proof of vaccination when entering Germany. The negative test result must be no older than 72 hours (PCR test) or 48 hours (rapid antigen test).
Prior to August 1st Germany had required all unvaccinated air travelers to show proof of a negative test before boarding a plane, but now this requirement is for all travelers crossing the German border regardless of their mode of transportation and includes cruises and trains.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns contact your Travel Gurus for the most up to date information!
Namaste!
