BHGH Breaking News! US Extends Land Border Restrictions With Canada and Mexico

Howdy! More breaking news to report today. This time it is the announcement that the borders will remain closed with Canada and Mexico through October 21st.

Here is the latest statement from the White House according to CNN.com:

“We do not have any updates to the land border policies at this point. Title 19 is being extend for another month, as it is done on a monthly basis, through October 21, and as I said, no further updates on that policy at this point,” White House Covid-19 response coordinator Jeff Zients announced Monday.

It is important to note that the land borders have been closed since March 2020 however Americans can still fly into Mexico with no restrictions, while Canada is allowing only fully vaccinated US citizens in via air provided they also have a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours of arrival or proof of prior recovery from the virus up to 180 days prior.
