Howdy! After a long day of adventuring, there is nothing more enjoyable than a drink at the local pub or any of the hotel bars. In fact, establishments serving alcohol can be traced back to Ancient Greece. It was a place for men to gather to enjoy food and drinks all while enjoying musical or theatrical entertainment.
From there, bars started popping up along trade routes in order to meet the needs of travelers and soldiers. Many would hold business or personal meetings as well. And in the Colonial days of America, bars were often built before churches.
Fast forward to today and you will find an assortment of bars, from wine bars to craft beer, dive bars and tiki bars. It is apparent we have quite a love affair with bars.
Take trip with us as we discover 5 of the worlds most favorite bars. And don’t forget to add them to your travel bucket list.
